Ben Malach

Ben’s love of golf was fostered from a young age by his mother, father and grandfather. As he grew up playing a wide variety of golf courses across Canada and the United States. Ben learned the truth about golf being influenced by its diverse landscapes from a young age. His devotion to this truth would not be realized. Until, on a whim, he elected to move to Scotland and the town of St. Andrews to study its famous links. During his stay in town in a stroke of pure luck, Ben began work as a starter and caddie on the links. This allowed him access and time to study not only the famous links of St. Andrews but many others in the UK and Europe. After his trip abroad Ben became enthralled with the idea of building simple golf that reflected the unique nature of each site. By chance, he got to put these beliefs into action as a member of the construction crew for Cabot Cliffs and later the Nest course at Cabot Resort. It was with lessons learned at Cabot, Kananaskis and other sites and experiences that has allowed Ben to build an eclectic skill set that enables him to take any golf design-related challenge.
